Aleksandar Dimitrijević (1977), born and based in Užice, Serbia. Since receiving his BA and MA in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad, Dimitrijevic prolifically creates paintings and installations. His first major exhibition was in 2006 at the October Salon in Belgrade, when his work entered the collection of German gallerist and curator René Block. Since then Dimitrijevic has won several awards and his works are in numerous private and public art collections. He lives and works in Užice, where he is a founding member of the Association of Visual Artists of (UVUU), one of the key founders of the Reflektor (Spotlight) Gallery and of the Children’s Cultural Zone.
