Revolutions are the times of major tonal change bringing shifting viewpoints and allegiances and maximum saturation of senses. Through installation {R}Evolutions, cyclic re-occurrences in history are presented as important temporal interruptions of the evolutionary curve. Time stands still and at the same time rushes forward; what was until then seen as a peaceful force, a harmless pleasure, an intimate revelation or a solitary path becomes an abject challenge, a risk, a test of perception.Through the works of artists Ivana Ivkovic, Djordje Stanojevic, Kolya Bozovic, Branislav Nikolic and Irena Fabri we are reminded of these shifts within their individual artistic realms. Each of the works presents a sequence of their individual process, here seen as direction markers of the dual narratives that are subject to uncontrollable interruptions within a larger timeframe. We can see them as musical notes that change the key in times of deep turbulence, or passion.
