Marko Lađušić

‘Marko Lađušić, through the sculptural project Colonnade, articulates the connection between the city and the river using an open steel structure approximately 4x22 meters in size, composed of eleven symmetrical elements. The central feature is the arch, which connects temporal and spatial dimensions. The arches are visible from different perspectives, and their proportions are adapted to the surrounding architecture and overall landscape. This contemporary yet historically rooted form references Belgrade's urban and sacred traditions, as well as its Roman and Byzantine heritage. The arrangement, repetition of non-hermetic elements, and their overall proportions create a timeless form that revitalizes and revalues the space of Kosančićev Venac, not obstructing but framing its landscape and creating a new multidisciplinary public space with a focus on the view of the river and the city.’ Nataša Radojevič, curator
