Giuseppe Pietroniro resorts to different medium – photography, drawing, installation and sculpture – as investigation tools for the space. Pietroniro’s research focuses on prospective perception, creations of new points of view as well as “archeological” utilization of collages made of layers and juxtapositions.
Giuseppe Pietroniro resorts to different medium – photography, drawing, installation and sculpture – as investigation tools for the space. Pietroniro’s research focuses on prospective perception, creations of new points of view as well as “archeological” utilization of collages made of layers and juxtapositions. Furthermore, his activities allow him to apply a number of different metals, reflective surface materials and the slate. Each element has a specific symbolic component and a number of different features which visually embody the possibility towards making reality malleable (silver and lead), to discover matter levels (slate and collage) and, to play with illusory spaces (mirrors and prospective illusions). All materials applied by Giuseppe Pietroniro do not only connect to his work, they lead to a plural research related to other disciplines. Likewise, in the relational dynamic, the research object that comes from other disciplines may become a debate.
